QUARTIERS POP, MONTREAL, CANADA. SEPTEMBER 2014
Pop culture provides an escape from ourselves to a universe that is more exciting, more colourful, more disastrous and dramatic, well choreographed, over the top, unnecessary and yet so needed. For this project, my aim was to bring together as many artists as I could, both emerging and established, with varying artistic backgrounds and practices, to make .gifs about POP Life. I wanted to present a diverse range of opinions and interests. I asked each of to the artists to question where they place themselves as cultural producers in the pop culture spectrum. This collection is a broad interpretation of POP Life; through the works of these artists.
